Hello Students!
As we continue to move into our Space Exploration unit, we are going to do 2 more days of articles/ media. Tomorrow, please bring in an article of your own choosing for our space study. This should be an article that interests you and that you would like to both discuss and learn more about. A lot of you really like Space Exploration and this is your first opportunity to discover more about your specific interests! For today, we are looking at Space Junk which is an incredible problem for humans to overcome. As we take this up, please do the following: 1. Watch the introduction scene from Gravity. 2. Watch the Space Debris Story. 3. Read the article on How to Clean up Space Debris. After reading and looking through the articles, you are to silently and independently write a persuasive piece on the following: Do we need to clean up Space Junk? What are the reasons that we may not have to? Can you think of a way to clean up Space Junk? Is it cost efficient? What can we do to try and prevent the further accumulation of Space Junk? That's it! Have fun and remember: -Wednesday at lunch we are going to go over Biodiversity concepts if you are interested in improving your understanding and then looking at different questions from what we saw on the unit exam. -Thursday is going to be our linear relations unit exam. You can look at the unit review (click on Math Textbook under categories and select the chapter for Linear Relations) if you want to explore more/ different questions.
